Emmanuel is 13-yrs-old and will be starting Grade 8 in 2027 at Kazungula Boarding School. His favorite subject is Math and he loves music. When he grows up, he wants to become a musician!

Unfortunately, Emmanuel’s father abandoned him, his 2 siblings, and mother when he was just 5-yrs-old. His mother does her best to support her family as a single mother, but is unable to pay for his schooling in addition to all of their household expenses.

All students are required to pay school fees as well as purchase a school uniform, shoes, and other supplies, which many families cannot afford. In times of crisis, impoverished children are especially vulnerable and face several challenges. Girls who are unable to attend school have a high risk of becoming pregnant or being forced into marriage, whereas boys have a high risk of underage drinking, smoking, and becoming involved in petty crime. By sponsoring a child you are giving them access to life-changing programs and support.
