Meet Morris!

Morris is 20 and will be starting Grade 12 in 2026. Morris is determined and does well in school. Unfortunately, Morris recently became an orphan; his father passed away in 2011 due to malaria and his mother passed away in 2022. As he had nowhere else to turn to, his teacher took him in, knowing how hardworking he is. However, she cannot afford to support him fully.

Morris attends boarding school, which is an accomplishment in itself. Boarding school is a privilege afforded to few and those selected are the students with the best grades and behavior. Girls who are unable to attend school have a high risk of becoming pregnant or being forced into marriage, whereas boys have a high risk of underage drinking, smoking, and becoming involved in petty crime.
